The Earth Mama Story

Earth Mamas first came together in 1998 to create a vision by the original Earth Mama, Jill Barnes.  Although Jill has moved on to another part of the country to share her talents as a dancer/choreographer, we continue to express the vision that lives in all of our hearts. 

 Earth Mamas is a local dance group that supports community involvement in social change and environmental awareness.  We have performed throughout the community at events for such causes as Earth Day, the Fairness Campaign, Women’s Awareness, and Starving Artists.  In our performances, we incorporate music and movement from all cultures.  Everyone has unique talents and we believe that anyone with a heartbeat can dance.  Our tribe has had many mamas (and a couple of papas!) come and go through the years, but our goal never falters.
